Where a councillor cruises with criminals in cars and the MP hides news of grooming gangs in shisha bars
In the first edition version of My Welcome to Oldham Part III & IV series, I raised a series of concerns including that of a potential cover up of a sexual grooming gang that operated out of a network of shisha bars in Oldham. At first ridiculed by the Council, my article led to multiple statements from the Leader of Oldham Council that were full of omissions and contradictions. Eventually, the Council having originally claimed there was nothing to see, have committed to an ‘independent investigation’, though they remain evasive of how the investigation will be independent or what exactly it will and will not investigate.
Following complaints from unnamed individuals, both Part III & IV were removed by Medium, the platform where I have published all my work. Oldham Council Leader, Sean Fielding, subsequently went on to social media where he gloated about this. I have had confirmation from the Police, that none of my articles broke the law. In spite of the censorship, the original Part III & IV versions have been shared with an audience of over 1 million readers. The taking down of these articles has provided me with an opportunity to update and revamp both versions. Part III now concentrates exclusively on the activities of Arooj Shah, Sean Fielding and their associates that run Oldham Council whilst Part IV concentrates exclusively on the grooming gangs and other concerns regarding child sex exploitation in Oldham.
Welcome to Oldham Part III
2nd Edition
Democracy in Oldham is broken. In order to maintain control, unscrupulous white politicians have conspired with cartels in the Asian communities through which they have secured the Asian block vote. By any means necessary and at any cost necessary they have worked together, one looking after the other. This is not just my belief, it was essentially shared in the Ritchie Report that was published post the 2001 Oldham riots. Within the report, you will find the following finding
‘There appears to be a clan or client based approach to politics and public life within the Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities…which has been exploited by white party leaders to get votes, and Asian community leaders [the Cartel], to secure influence.’
The most obvious way to demonstrate this relationship is through examining photographs published on social media by Cartel members and their associates with leading politicians including Jim Mcmahon MP. In his defence, a recent email from Jim McMahon’s office claimed that Jim poses for photographs ‘with people he doesn’t even know.’ So far, these photographs have included a convicted killer, an individual with alleged Islamist links, drug dealers, illegal immigrants and even a convicted sex offender.
I’m not of the opinion that Jim McMahon is a stupid man. I’m sure he accepts the significance of these photographs and does not underestimate the power that these images have in the communities where these cartels operate. The message appears to be loud and clear. We are all powerful. We have an arrangement with Jim McMahon MP. Should Jim be more careful with who he takes pictures with? I don’t know, perhaps he’s getting his advice from his assistant and Deputy Leader of Oldham Council, Arooj Shah.
In this game of top trump pictures, his assistant and Deputy Leader of Oldham Council, Arooj Shah, is giving Jim a run for his money. There are many reasons why I would not want Arooj Shah, Deputy Leader of Oldham Council, anywhere near my daughter or the children of my friends. These reasons include:
Arooj Shah’s relationship with Zia Hussain
I’ve previously shared this picture of Arooj Shah celebrating her election victory on Social Media with Zia Hussain.
Mr Hussain is a convicted kidnapper who tortured and sexually abused his victims. This is what was reported at the time of Arooj Shah’s associate
‘One victim was sexually abused with a broomstick and forced to perform a sex act on his fellow captive. His ordeal was filmed and gang members threatened to release the humiliating footage if the police were told. The gang put electric clamps on one victim’s testicles and beat him with carpet strip. He was stripped naked and hot wax dripped on his body. When police examined the house they found blood on the settees and spattered on the walls.’

Arooj Shah’s hokey-cokey with Gelato’s Ice Lounge
After being informed that Arooj Shah’s brother was a convicted drug dealer, and she herself had been questioned by the police following a raid on her home, I was made aware of her undeclared ownership of an ice cream lounge.
A check on Arooj Shah’s Members Declarations, available to everyone on Oldham Council’s website, showed that she has failed to declare that she owned said ice cream parlour. I have subsequently had an exchange with Oldham Council who claim one date when she finally updated her declaration whilst I claim another date. For those interested, the specifics of this exchange can be found here.
You can decide for yourselves if the Council Officer, Elizabeth Drogan, is attempting to intimidate me and whether Oldham Council are attempting to evade answering questions. From my experience of working alongside senior people in local government, it is almost impossible that a Councillors declaration would be updated 4 days before an election. I’m sure that ‘purdah’ would prohibit this. I’m currently waiting to hear Oldham Council’s explanation as to why they updated a Councillor’s decelerations just before the election.
Regardless of when the declaration was made, the fact is that it was made late. Records confirm that Arooj Shah had for over 18 months already been the sole director of Gelato’s Ice Lounge from when she signed this original declaration of interest. For whatever reason, she did not declare this interest at the time. She has then failed to declare this interest until apparently the 30th April 2019. Over 2 years later.
Here is a screen grab of her updated declaration. You can clearly see Arooj Shah claiming that she is a non-paid director of this business.
At the time, a simple examination of Companies House website showed Arooj Shah to be the ONLY Director of Gelato’s Ice Lounge Ltd. If she was the only Director (and I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of information held by Companies House), then who is receiving the profits from this business? Who are the Shadow Directors? What other activities are they possibly involved in?
After I raised these questions with the Council, that if she was the ONLY Director of Gelato’s Ice Lounge and therefore if she was not receiving the profits as she claimed in her Members Declaration, then there were questions of who she was fronting the business for. Would you believe it, Companies House records were subsequently backdated. Arooj Shah now claims she resigned on the 1st February 2018.
Remember, she was forced to declare her interest on her Councillor Declaration on the 30th April 2019. At the time Companies House records clearly showed that she was the sole Director. Once questions were raised to Oldham Council that such an arrangement was impossible or illegal, she has backdated her resignation and is now claiming that she resigned on the 1st February 2018. What to believe? CITIZENS OF OLDHAM, THIS IS YOUR DEPUTY LEADER. You tell me what you suspect is taking place here?
Yes, I know I’m raising this on Social Media, BUT I did report all of this in the right and proper way to Oldham Council. An anonymous group of Councillors met in secret and I was recently informed that Cllr Arooj Shah has no case to answer and that I had no grounds for appeal. Nothing to see then. I suppose we need more photographic evidence!
Arooj Shah’s own Social Media Activities
Those who have followed my posts on Facebook will have noticed that I have been repeatedly attacked for raising concerns. In a climate where politicians are quick to voice how they are victims, I think it worthwhile that I share a few exchanges that include Cllr Arooj Shah. Firstly, this screen grab of thread on Facebook was in reference to me. Read this and tell me that I should not be worried?
I know that Oldham Council and its Councillors are also aware of this post. Is it the endorsement of someone offering to kill me? I’ll let people decide for themselves.
Separate to this specific post, I have suffered extensive abuse from an individual named Qasim Lenny. As associate of Arooj Shah’s (like Mohammed Nadeem, the Oldham taxi driver who has offered to kill me) Mr Lenny has not been shy in his criticism of me. This culminated in him referring to me as ‘a Gay Christian Convert.’ I was so concerned about Mr Lenny’s behaviour, I have reported him to Counter Terrorism. Labelling me using such terms is a call to Jihadists that my murder is sanctioned in Islam. I do not believe that such a label was in any way accidental. My Lenny has followed this up with claiming that I have been advocating for gay marriages to be conducted in mosques.
You can see Zahir Hussain’s response where he claims ‘qayamt very close’. This phrase translates to meaning doomsday being very close. Something that happens when great evil descends on the Earth.
Mr Lenny is also an Editor for Oldham News & Media. They have close to 40,000 followers on Facebook. He has tag teamed his posts with a series of complete lies that have been posted on Oldham News & Media’s page. Any attempt at I or anyone else attempting to defend myself against this assault has resulted in immediate bans on their page. I am in no doubt, this man is advocating my murder and this man is also a self declared ‘family’ associate of Cllr Arooj Shah and their issue with me is because I have raised concerns over Cllr Arooj Shah.
I have remained silent to this extremist associate of Cllr Arooj Shah referring to me as Gay and a Christian convert. He thought was getting somewhere when I refused to claim I was not. Unfortunately for him, my reasons are perhaps not the same as his.. My position is simple, whether I am Gay or not is irrelevant. I refuse to confirm that I am not because I know that such a confirmation implies that I think there is something wrong with being gay. I refuse to be drawn in to this back handed prejudice. And it is the same with referring to me as a Christian convert. I refuse to deny this. Not because I am, but because I think so what if someone is. A person's relationship with their God is their business, not mine.
I have no doubt that Cllr Shah and all her fellow politician colleagues in Oldham Labour Party are aware of this and are fully aware of the severity of this attack and its potential consequences. Not a single one has spoken out against any of Cllr Shah’s murder inciting associates.
Arooj Shah’s link to Dale Cregan
Yes, you have read that right! Now, first of all let me make something very clear, I have absolutely no interest in Arooj Shah’s private life. I have an inbox full of stories about her personal life. I’m not interested in any of them. I, myself, am fully aware of the abuse that someone from the Asian community faces when they chose not to follow a traditional lifestyle.
What does concern me however, is when people are reporting to me that the Deputy Leader of Oldham Council and Assistant to the town’s MP, Jim Mcmahon, has used her position to help secure the release of Mohammed Imran Ali, the getaway driver for Dale Cregan. This includes reports made to me that the offices of Jim McMahon MP were used to help secure Mohammed Imran Ali’s early release from prison and that Arooj Shah was involved in helping present Mohammed Imran Ali as devout Muslim and humanitarian to the Parole Board. Now where did he concoct that story from?
Mr Mohammed Imran Ali, locally known as Irish Immy is currently back in prison. People interested with his activities in his brief period out of prison should read this.
I cannot confirm the truth of any of these stories or the context of Cllr Shah’s relationship with Irish Immy. I do not have access to the paper trail. Though I’m certain that such a paper trail is easily confirmed or otherwise. What I do have however is a series of photographs that lead me to believe that there is clearly some form of relationship between Cllr Shah and Irish Immy.
I’m sure that Cllr Shah, like all of us, is fully aware that Irish Immy was imprisoned alongside Dale Cregan for the cold blooded murder of two female police officers, one of which was from our own town. I’m genuinely horrified by these concerns shared with me.
I have been informed from multiple sources associated with Jim Mcmahon, that I have a vendetta. They are right, I do have a vendetta, though not for the reasons they claim. I have a vendetta against the Politicians and the Council Officers that have played their part in destroying trust in the civic institutions of our town. I have a vendetta against those who helped cover up grooming gangs and endangered our children through keeping this news from parents. I have a vendetta against those who are hesitant to intervene and safeguard our children for fear of ‘community relations’. I have a vendetta against those who ignore the wholesale abuse of postal vote fraud because it helps keep them in power. And I most definitely have a vendetta against those that bring in to disrepute the privileged positions that the people of Oldham have entrusted them with. My vendetta is against those that have led in breaking my town. A town where it now appears acceptable for Dale Cregan’s getaway driver to be posing for photographs whilst Jim McMahon MP, Cllr Jean Stretton (at the time Leader of Oldham Council, Cllrs Arooj Shah & Steven Wilkins are out campaigning for Jim McMahon’s re-election.
As with silence over concerns whether Jim McMahon’s parliamentary office was used to help secure Irish Immy’s release, so too is there silence over whether Irish Immy actually joined them all whilst they were out campaigning.
I have reported Cllr Arooj Shah to the Labour Party. It is my position that both Jim McMahon MP and Deputy Leader of Oldham Council, Arooj Shah, should be suspended pending a formal investigation in to all of these concerns raised. Unfortunately, based on the responses I have had from Jennie Formby and her team at Labour HQ, my suspicion is that the Labour Party are doing their best to avoid opening an investigation.
I’m also aware of multiple meetings that have taken place between Oldham Labour politicians and the leader of Oldham Council, Sean Fielding. The advice has been to suspend her pending an investigation. Unfortunately for Sean, Arooj Shah also works for Jim McMahon MP. Any suspension will clearly raise questions on Jim McMahon’s judgement. As well as employing her, Jim also supported her to become Councillor for Chadderton South. Sean Fielding is also in the tricky position of owing much of his meteoric rise to leader to Jim McMahon. Consequently, regardless of bringing the town in to disrepute and embarrassing every single person associated with Oldham Council, Deputy Leader Cllr Arooj Shah remains in post. She still holds multiple powerful positions on various committees where she influences the spending of tens of millions of pounds of public money. I, like every other Oldham citizen, have absolutely no idea if any of Cllr Arooj Shah’s decisions are in any way informed by her various criminal associates.
So far, because of what I have shared with the people of Oldham, my understanding is that Cllr Arooj Shah has
stood in a full Council meeting (and though not naming me directly) has attacked me
instructed her solicitors firm to write to me threatening to sue me
approached the Police attempting to have me arrested for bullying and harassment
sent love hearts on social media to friends of her’s offering to kill me
I think it is worthwhile bearing in mind that prior to publicly raising these concerns, I went to Oldham Council and the Borough Solicitor, Paul Entwistle. I’m sure people familiar with engaging with Oldham Council and Mr Entwistle will know what happened.
I’m now told that the strategy is that if I can be silenced through an injunction (bear in mind the Police have confirmed with me that I have done nothing illegal) then all this will go away and she can go back to how things were. There is nothing I have shared that is factually incorrect regarding Arooj Shah. She is a senior politician in Oldham and assistant to the MP. Her associations and business interests are I believe in the public interest.
Meanwhile, both Sean Fielding and Jim McMahon MP have failed to comment on their associate celebrating her election victory with a man convicted for kidnap, torture and sexual abuse or on her association with Dale Cregan’s getaway driver. They both also remain silent on GELATO's ICE LOUNGE where Cllr Arooj Shah is now claiming she is no longer involved. As can be clearly seen, her most recent Declaration of Interest dated April 2019 now appears to have been an error or even a lie (you decide).
Why do Jim & Sean refuse to comment on Arooj Shah? Are their reasons the same as when parents in Oldham were failed to be warned about the Shisha Bar Grooming Gangs? More on that in PART IV.
I can only imagine what trouble I have got myself in to for raising my latest concern regarding the relationship between Jim McMahon’s parliamentary office, Deputy Leader of Oldham Council, Arooj Shah, and a criminal convicted for his role in the murder of PCs Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone.
