Raja Miah MBE

Raised in Oldham, Raja Miah, is internationally recognised as an expert in his field. With over 25 years of experience in working on the front lines, alongside marginalised communities at risk of exploitation by extremists, Raja has used his insights to inform and shape government policy. During his career, Raja has worked directly with world leaders, including multiple UK Prime Ministers & Secretaries of State.

Despite attempts at censorship and MSM blackout, through the exclusive use of social media, Raja’s explosive Welcome to Oldham series quickly reached an audience of over a million. Using skills honed whilst working in counter-extremism, Raja has evidenced and articulated historical injustices endured by the working-class communities. This multi-part series has helped open eyes and galvanised support to end political corruption in his home town.

As well as raising awareness through his writing, Raja is working alongside a team of Custodians to help shape a new political movement. Together, they aim to restore trust and civic pride to the town and its institutions. Drawing inspiration from the original Chartists, who came from ordinary working class towns such as Oldham, The New Chartists Alliance is a co-operative of Independents that will lead the fight against the secretive Oldham Council and the politicians that maintain control through rigging the electoral system with the assistance of criminal cartels and postal vote fraud.

Raja’s current ventures include Cities of Hope, a global civic arts organisation that uses street art to raise mass awareness of social justice issues and Yesterday’s Children, a national campaign calling for justice for victims of grooming and sexual abuse. Raja is also currently working on a number of publications including Jihadi Jim’s Expert Guide on How to Keep Winning Elections in Towns Like Oldham

In his spare time, Raja supports a number of local charities & community organisations that are making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. He can also be found in Alexandra Park avoiding geese whilst puddle hunting with his daughter.
